Revolution (1968) Original Trailer

The official trailer for ‘Revolution’ (1968) by Jack O’Connell, slightly edited for hippie nudity. It’s pretty much the best film document of Haight-Ashbury at its peak.

O’Connell was from Boston and worked in advertising on Madison Avenue before getting into film production. He was drawn to documenting and dramatizing youth cultures that were on the cultural frontier, from Greenwich Village beatniks (‘Greenwich Village Story’, 1963) to San Francisco hippies in ‘Revolution’ to sexually liberated Scandinavians (‘Swedish Fly Girls‘, 1971).
