The Source Family was among the most influential spiritual communes to emerge from Los Angeles. Their restaurant The Source was arguably America’s first celebrity health-food restaurant (other than H.E.L.P.) and was featured early on in ‘Alex in Wonderland’ (1970) and post-Source-Family in ‘Annie Hall’ (1977). Their psychedelic rock band Ya Ho Wha 13 released 9 albums between 1973 and 1975.
