From this weekend’s digging: Ricky Griffin album art for Cold Blood’s 1969 debut. This band is weirdly forgotten in some circles but they were a powerhouse of the San Francisco scene at one time. I’ve heard their sound described as “like Janis singing for Tower of Power but better and funkier” and that’s not inaccurate.
