Picked up this 1975 New Age oddity from Deep Thoughts JP yesterday for 3 bucks. I think many psychedelic record collectors have grabbed it in the past for its cover by Marty Johnson, but it’s not exactly a psych record. It comes straight out of the teachings of Ken Keyes Jr’s Handbook to Higher Consciousness, which I’ve posted about before. From back when Keyes and his crew were based in a former Catholic seminary in Kentucky, before they settled in Coos Bay, Oregon (where his books are easy to stumble across and which was chosen because it was said to be a place least likely to be attacked in a nuclear war). They put out a few other far-out records in this period according to Discogs 🎧
