Heavy Metal magazine was really feeling itself in the late ‘70s/early ‘80s — justifiably I’d say. Their pitch was basically, “Today’s magazine reader is more far-out and demands *way* more visual stimulation.” Also always loved their brand typeface: Kabel Black 💪
